Swallow The Sun ‎– When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light - CD

Formed in 2000, Finland’s Swallow the Sun have expressed and exposed much of their inner selves over the course of seven albums, the newest of which is the heart-wrenching “When A Shadow is Forced into the Light”.
The brainchild of primary songwriter Juha Raivio, Swallow the Sun’s music swings between light and dark, heavy and delicate, reflective and aggressive. Fueled by personal loss, “When A Shadow is Forced into the Light” showcases the group’s ability to maintain its signature sound while expanding upon horizons and diving deeper into the crevasse of doom-death metal.

Swallow The Sun ‎– Ghosts Of Loss - CD

It was only two years after their debut The Morning Never Came (2003) that the Finnish act were ready to show it was a matter of time they were to be considered the next big name in the doom death scene.
Top 10 in Finland’s Top 40 chart and nominated by the Finnish Metal Awards for best cover art and best band, 2005 sees Swallow The Sun and the sophomore album Ghosts Of Loss crowned with success before moving to an even more creative and triumphant period.

On Thorns I Lay ‎– Aegean Sorrow - CD-Digi

Long-running Greek death/doom troupe ON THORNS I LAY will unleash their eighth studio offering this spring 2018 titled Aegean Sorrow.
The stunning nine-track offering was captured at Devasoundz Studios by Fotis Benardo (Rotting Christ, Septic Flesh, etc.) and mixed and mastered at Unisound AB Studio by Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Bloodbath, Pan.Thy.Monium, Witherscape, etc.).

Easily among the most consuming records of their more than twenty-year career, Aegean Sorrow fuses seemingly clashing concepts of catchy melodies and an incessantly mournful ambiance throughout.

Rapture ‎– Silent Stage - CD-Digi

Final act of the Rapture discography with a memorable collection of gothic doom death tracks and showing a band experiencing the best burst of creativity before putting a (maybe temporary?) end to their activities.
“Silent Stage” was recorded and mixed at Sundi Coop studio (Finntroll, Ensiferum, Ajattara…) and mixed by Mika Jussila. Such a group of talented musicians just left a legacy that cannot be forgotten.

Rapture ‎– Songs For The Withering - CD-Digi

After the big success of “Futile” in 1999, Rapture released the sophomore “Songs For The Withering”, following the path traced two years.

Austin Lunn from Panopticon would say on the album: “This album is for me, the joy and comfort in melancholy... The bittersweet sound track to autumn, the echoes of rainy days... Nostalgic yet relevant but above all, an honest and relatable glimpse into human sorrow. It is a warm but wet blanket, reminding me of worse days and how I fucking made it through: One foot in front of the other, consoled by the honest and exposing lyrics, powerful melodies and crushing drums of Rapture’s unsung masterpiece. Before the last breath, inhaling. Before the final death, to exhale and never let hope die that I would one day conquer the great distance."

Goratory ‎– Sour Grapes - CD
