- Genre: Avantgarde
Solefald’s 1999 release Neonism available on vinyl for the first time!
Solefald was formed in Norway by members Lars Are "Lazare" Nedland and Cornelius Jakhelln in 1995.
Possessing a strong penchant for experimentation, Solefald were classified as avant-garde black metal.
Neonism was originally released in 1999 and ventured even further into the realms of genre expanding diversity than the band's debut album in what could be classified as an early example of ‘post black metal’.
Prog metal, black metal, punk, classical, jazz, as well as multiple modern styles and influences such as drum & bass and electronica were combined to make an incredibly varied album both instrumentally and vocally.
Double vinyl edition in gatefold sleeve.
HELLS HEADBANGERS is proud to present the rebirth of AEVANGELIST, Blessed Be the Relic of Wicked Slumber: Nightmarecatcher, on CD, vinyl and digital formats.
Ever restless, Blessed Be the Relic of Wicked Slumber: Nightmarecatcher sees Matron Thorn exploring an exquisitely lurking dread, patiently simmering his psychedelic death metal delirium to a hallucinogenic boil, bringing forth a miasmic meltdown. Daunting and daring to say the very least, Nightmarecatcher is one epic 53-minute composition comprising three equally epic chapters, all threaded together with unsettling ease. Also uniquely, the album is AEVANGELIST's first proper live studio recording, created entirely in the recording space of Oranssi Pazuzu and drums recorded in the recording space of Barathrum & Sielunvihollinen.
Flowers of Evil, the new studio album from Ulver, finds the wolf pack exploring the fear and wonder of mankind’s fall from redemption.
“Doom dance”, someone dubbed their last studio album, the critically acclaimed, Impala Award-winning The Assassination of Julius Caesar (2017).
Flowers of Evil comes across as an unfeigned progression along the course set by that album, revealing a band moving deeper into beats and grooves, hooks and choruses, synths and guitars, yet sounding more stripped back, making room for the distinctive detail.
Once again Michael Rendall (The Orb) and legendary producer Martin “Youth” Glover have taken crystalline care of the mix.
With their powerful release "Antithesis", Secrets Of The Moon have multiplied all their strengths.
"This album", explains singer and guitarist sGolden correctly, "indeed offers something totally different. Music-wise, these are the most intense and tight tracks we've ever created. Spiritual darkness paired with a very progressive approach. The content of the songs is very direct, sometimes even perversely assaulting and desperate."
In its perfect balance of wildness and calculation, in its evocative, hypnotic intensity, in its heavy grandeur, in its sublime structure, in its confessional obsessiveness, "Antithesis" is an immense step for Secrets Of The Moon.
Gatefold 2LP (golden 180g vinyl) incl. poster and PVC protection sleeve (500 copies available)
B's legacy and the most extreme swansong of 2011
Lifelover's fourth and last album "Sjukdom" (English: disease) is a dark and challenging record. Following their critical acclaim-afforded and cathartic "Konkurs" in 2008, these elusive and mysterious misanthropes venture down an even more daring path with "Sjukdom" where the extremes of the characteristically idiosyncratic Lifelover sound are pushed to their utmost limit: the bittersweet melodies become more beautiful whilst the pulsing, coal-black heaviness becomes uglier.
After the tragic death of B in September 2011, this is Lifelover's final studio album.
Gatefold LP (red vinyl) incl. padded inner sleeve and protection sleeve (500 copies available)
