Hyperfast Grindcore from Italy!
SBS' 3rd full lenght is a concept album based on John Carpenter's "Apocalypse Trilogy" (The Thing, Prince Of Darkness, In The Mouth Of Madness).
On “Generator” legendary vocalist Attila Csihar (MAYHEM, TORMENTOR) makes his farewell performance with the band on the “Man Bites God” song. While Bård G. Eithun “Faust” (ex-EMPEROR, ex-DISSECTION, SCUM) becomes a permanent member of ABORYM.
Digipak edition limited to first pressing only! ABORYM have managed the impossible: with “Psychogrotesque” the unholy wedding of Black Metal and Industrial finally makes perfect sense. The conceptual and musical depth on their fifth album goes even beyond the already highly acclaimed predecessor “Generator” (2006), which quickly became an underground bestseller. As on ABORYM’s former releases, several special guests contribute on “Psychogrotesque” like Pete Vegem from BLOOD TSUNAMI, EPHEL DUATH mastermind Davide Tiso and a spectacular collaboration with legendary CRISIS frontwoman Karyn Crisis.
“Anaal Nathrakh have made an album that takes the band up to new levels of thought and expression” – Terrorizer
“Anaal Nathrakh has mastered the art of musical terror, dreadful and frightening.” – Metallian
With their third album “Cold Steel... for an Iron Age” DESTRÖYER 666 continued their steep climb in the favour of fans and critics alike.
Now this modern classic will be re-released in an irresistible package. The new version not only includes the bonus track “The Dragon”, but the Australians also treated their masterpiece to a spectacular brand-new graphic design with liner notes.
This is clearly a must have for all DESTRÖYER 666 fans!
Canada's long-running and much loved craftsmen of technical death metal are returning with a 33-minute song. Entitled 'Pleiades' Dust' this complex, image evoking, and masterly arranged eponymous track fills an entire EP. Expect the unexpected when it comes to GORGUTS. In an age of a postulated clash of cultures, mastermind Luc Lemay delivers a piece of music that is conceptually and lyrically based on the "House of Wisdom", a medieval library based in Baghdad and at the heart of the Golden Age of Islam with its many scientific breakthroughs in various fields of learning. As Luc comments: "It is a story about curiosity, beautiful minds and sadly, about how man destroys great discoveries and achievements."
Released on Toxic Assets Records in June 2012. Recorded live over the winter of 2010/11 with Garrett Morris in the Dark Room.
Going through rare and previously unreleased tracks from former recording sessions, alternate versions of well beloved songs and even a brand new track, KYLESA remixed and rearranged those they felt to have a permeating feeling of togetherness into this outstanding collection “From the Vaults Vol. I”. Far beyond the average compilation it will make you wish for Vol. II!
Double Album of new symphonic recordings arranged to the soundscapes of sorrows past from UK doom titans My Dying Bride
Unrelenting Ancient Death Metal. Chaotic guitar riffing, a frantic drums work, morbid obscure vocals and diseased
bestiality without compromise! No fucking mercy!!!
In the vein of early pioneers of traditional Death Metal, like early MORBID ANGEL, early DEICIDE, early GOREFEST, DEMIGOD,
CONVULSE, AUTOPSY, early GRAVE, GORGUTS... thinking also to KAAMOS and SLUGATHOR...!!!
Following 2001’s massive debut ‘…and Justice for Y’All’, the crushing second full-length ‘Sixteen Tons’ kept the buzz growing the following year, while critics were still struggling to put a tag on their sound. Nearly everybody agreed that stoner rock, doom, sludge and some crusty elements were part of the mix, which the band simply calls "weed metal". Produced by renowned engineer Billy Anderson (EYEHATEGOD, NEUROSIS).
