Franco Bixio – A Pugni Nudi (Original SoundTrack) - LP
"A pugni nudi" (With bare fists) - presented with a more than explicit subtitle "For a sad experience in a juvenile detention center" - is a 1974 film directed by Marcello Zeani; it can be associated to the Italian police genre, but it stands on its own due to its being set in the world of boxing.
It's a drama movie too, with a non-optimistic nor hopeful ending at all, accompanied by the music of Franco Bixio, with a distinctive jazz-rock imprint, a strong presence of symphonic arrangements and a singular more 'disengaged' episode ("Split second", on the B side of the LP).
A small gem, equally able to describe dramatic and tensive moments, now rediscovered and reissued for the first time on vinyl by AMS Records!
Pino Donaggio – Corruzione Al Palazzo Di Giustizia (Original Soundtrack) - LP Red (RSD 2019)
Pino Donaggio is great in creating romantically laced cues that are played alongside dramatic sounding compositions.
This score was written in 1974, before the composer had really established his 'sound', but nevertheless the music has great character and contains some interesting orchestrations and arrangements.
Strangely, many collectors of Italian film music often forget or side step the Donaggio's work, which combines traditional Italian sounding motifs and musical passages with his own compositions and arrangements, creating a rewarding and at times amusing listen.
This soundtrack has never been reprinted on vinyl since 1974 until today and this edition, with a new artwork, it's the first LP reissue ever!
Special edition on solid red vinyl exclusively made for the Record Store Day 2019!

Angelo Badalamenti – Evilenko - LP Colored
“Evilenko” original motion picture soundtrack by Angelo Badalamenti reissued for the first time on limited edition colored vinyl.
499 Copies Only
Angelo Badalamenti is one of the most brilliant contemporary film music composers.
The amazing score for the movie “Evilenko” (directed by David Grieco, 2004) reveals the dark psychology of one of the most dreadful serial killers in history: Russian Andrei Chikatilo a.k.a. The Monster of Rostov.
The album includes two different versions of the evocative “Angels Go To Heaven” theme, with the extraordinary participation of vocalist Dolores O’Riordan (The Cranberries) in an unexpected, magic collaboration.
Ennio Morricone – Il Mio Nome E' Nessuno (Original Soundtrack) - LP
"Il mio nome è Nessuno" (My name is Nobody) is an atypical western, difficult to classify as it’s placed halfway between the founders of the genre of the '60s and the comedies of the following decade.
The other element of the tip comes of course from the music of Ennio Morricone, who writes and orchestrates a really varied soundtrack, which easily adapts itself to the various scenes moods. There is everything: tensive soundscapes, epic symphonic rides – directly referring the "Dollar Trilogy", frivolous and light-hearted moments, all mixed with a disarming naturalness.
This particular edition on AMS Records shows a completely renovated artwork and a 60x30cm poster with reproductions of flyers and lobby cards of the era.
Calibro 35 – High Tension Vol. 35 (Calibro 35 Plays Lesiman) - LP
"High Tension vol. 35 / Calibro 35 plays Lesiman" slightly shifts the quartet's action scope still towards music for films; the reference is the so-called 'library music' which, as the term itself suggests, can be defined as a discotheque made of sounds and compositions rich in experimentation, sometimes avant-garde and label-free, which film directors drew from to sonorize their works.
This is a world which Calibro 35 are undoubtedly related to from the beginning, but that they had never dealt with as strongly as in this record: here the four-piece, accompanied by Sebastiano De Gennaro on percussion and Luisa Santacesaria on piano, reworks some compositions by the famous Paolo Renosto / Lesiman firstly published in the early '70s.
Standard 180gr. black vinyl edition.
