Very close to the style of the great Martin Denny and Esquivel, godfathers of the Exotica genre (very popular in those years), Rustichelli uses as theme a sophisticated beguine that conveys flawlessly in the colorful and luxurious world of fashion.
It is the atmosphere of a setting full of women, luxury cars and champagne, but at the same time, it suggests a sexy and morbid subtle plot.
The music is in perfect harmony with Bava’s vision, brass and strings intertwine frantically, highlighting the creepy and horrifying atmosphere that permeates the whole film, giving additional blood to every murder.
Yes, this is MUSIC TO KILL.
Mastered for vinyl by Carlo Altobelli at Toxic Basement Studio.
