Prior to the formation of Queens of the Stone Age, bassist/singer Nick Oliveri recorded some originals with ex-Kyuss bandmates Josh Homme (guitar) and Brant Bjork (drums), plus Karma to Burn's Rob (drums) and others.
But once recording was completed, Oliveri decided to shelve the tapes; it wasn't until several years later (well after Queens of the Stone Age began to establish themselves) that the bassist decided to release the songs on a friend's indie label, Southern Lord Records.
Going by the name Mondo Generator, 11 tracks were compiled for the 2000 release Cocaine Rodeo.

The majority of the songs are much more raw and hardcore/punk-based than Oliveri's output with QOTSA, as evidenced by such tracks as "Shawnette," "Uncle Tommy," "Unless I Can Kill," and "I Want You to Die."

The music of Rutthna (Sweden) is made with the main focus on the atmosphere and feeling it gives the creator and hopefully also some listeners. Musical inspiration comes from the primitive side of black/metal.

Conceptual album "Intaglio", is a fruit of imagination of musicians from bands "S.C.A.L.P". and "Yachur", it is filled with a unique, depressive atmosphere of cold and gloom, developing the best funeral doom in its genre (Evoken, Mournful Congregation), following the traditions.
CD contains the eight-page booklet with photos and texts. "Intaglio" - is the first Russian funeral band which has been officially issued!

Vultures is an EP of the swedish stoner band Dozer.
Recorded in 2004-2005 at Rockhouse Studios in Borlänge, these six tracks were used as pre-production demos for what would later become the fourth Dozer album, 2005’s Through the Eyes of Heathens.

The album is now released for the first time on vinyl and digipak with a very special unreleased bonus track, a cover of the Sunride song Vinegar Fly.
Vultures is a real heavy-stoner explosion, something that only Dozer can provide.
The amazing artwork is made by Lowrider leader Peder Bergstrand.

Fatso Jetson is an American desert rock band from Palm Desert, California, formed in 1994 by Yawning Man members Mario Lalli and Larry Lalli, along with Tony Tornay ( Solarfeast, Deep Dark Robot). They are often credited as the fathers of the desert strain of stoner rock later made most famous by their slightly younger neighbours Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age. While sometimes musically similar to the heavy riffing rock of their stoner brethren, Fatso Jetson incorporate a broad variety of musical influences that includes jazz, experimental pop, blues, punk and surf.

Local Angel is the fourth solo album by desert rock musician Brant Bjork. It is considered his most intimate and laid back record, mixing acoustic guitars and simple melodies. Produced by Brant Bjork and Tony Mason. Engineered by Tony Mason. Recorded and mixed at Rancho de la Luna, February 6-15 2004. Mastered by Mathias Cornelius von Schneeberger at Donnor & Blitzen.
