Wedge - Like No Tomorrow - LP

The Berlin-based power trio once more is driving their musical WEDGE in between many different genres: Garage rock turns progressive while psychedelic guitar lines are tripping over hard rocking riffs. Does this work together? Hell yes! For fans of Deep Purple, MC5, Led Zeppelin or Humble Pie this album is a sure shot. You like fuzz guitars? Hammond organ and vocals trough a swirling Leslie cabinet? More cowbell? You got it. But unlike our beloved rock records from around 1971, which we've heard a hundred times before "Like No Tomorrow" has one huge advantage: It's brand new and the 8 tracks, ranging from 3:00 to 9:00 minutes, deliver a fresh, unspent and unmistakably unique taste to the rock'n'roll menu.

Available on Black or Neon Yellow (ltd 500) Vinyl

Ulver - Flowers of Evil - LP

Flowers of Evil, the new studio album from Ulver, finds the wolf pack exploring the fear and wonder of mankind’s fall from redemption.

“Doom dance”, someone dubbed their last studio album, the critically acclaimed, Impala Award-winning The Assassination of Julius Caesar (2017).
Flowers of Evil comes across as an unfeigned progression along the course set by that album, revealing a band moving deeper into beats and grooves, hooks and choruses, synths and guitars, yet sounding more stripped back, making room for the distinctive detail.
Once again Michael Rendall (The Orb) and legendary producer Martin “Youth” Glover have taken crystalline care of the mix.

Old Man Gloom ‎– Seminar VIII: Light Of Meaning - LP

The new OLD MAN GLOOM album "Light Of Meaning" (aka Seminar VIII) sees the notorious experimental super-group forge on their legacy after a slight suspension in uncertainty following the passing of bassist/vocalist Caleb Scofield. It was decided that the remaining members Aaron Turner (Sumac/Isis), Nate Newton (Converge), and drummer Santos Montano would continue to forge on with OLD MAN GLOOM and would bring in Scofield's former Cave In bandmate, Stephen Brodsky, to take Caleb's place amongst the pulse.
Through monolithic sonic tapestries sewn throughout, "Light Of Meaning" blossoms as a moving tribute to Scofield where the band have even incorporated material that Scofield had laid down previously for new OMG music.

Μινέρβα – Konserva - LP

Konserva is the debut album of the Athens-based garage/post-punk rockers Μινέρβα (Minerva).
After their first EP "Βέλβετ/Mama Shoe", Konserva comes in light to complete a journey that started years ago in the tropical city of Korinthos by 3 childhood friends.
Konserva (Κονσέρβα in greek, which means tin can) indicates the city of Athens, and everything that it is included in its daily basis, like depression, anger, dirt, psychedelia as well as happiness and the need to party and feel loved. All the above are expressed in this album through up tempo beats, punchy bass lines, extremely reverberated rhythm guitars and fuzzy riffs as well as distorted and echoed vocals.

If there are three words that can fully describe Μινέρβα, these are: Garage, Moustache & Desire.

Dordeduh – Har - 2LP

With their sophomore full-length, "Har", Romania's DORDEDUH have created a rare and unique metal record that defies easy categorisation, pushes boundaries, and offers something new and previously unheard. Guitarists and founders Edmond "Hupogrammos" Karban and Sol Faur aka Cristian Popescu were expected to deliver an album oscillating in the musical space between dark folk and black metal. And, while they did indeed draw from those sources, they also fearlessly incorporated electronic, gothic, rock, psychedelic, prog, and even pop elements without prejudice.

“Har” is a milestone – and not just for Romanian metal. DORDEDUH have taken an artistic quantum leap that promises to be recognized as one of the finest metal albums of the year.

Elevators To The Grateful Sky – Nude - LP Purple

Elevators to the Grateful Sky are back with their third fiery full-length album. 'Nude' showcases an extremely focused sound where early 90's Seattle-Sub Pop vibes melt with seducing psychedelic sections, heavy riffage and dreamy, sun-burnt instrumentals. Mastered at famed Mammoth Sound Mastering studio by Dan Randall (Iron Reagan, Noothgrush, The Walking Dead OST and countless others) and decorated by carefully hand-drawn imagery by vocalist Sandro Di Girolamo, the album comes in both coloured and black vinyl versions for the first time ever on Sound Effect Records.

Darkthrone ‎– Arctic Thunder - CD

Norwegian duo, Darkthrone, return with their first new studio material since 2013's triumphant The Underground Resistance.
Fenriz and Nocturno Culto once more show their mastery of 'the riff', demonstrating why Darkthrone remain one of the most respected and enduring acts in the history of extreme Metal.
An eclectic mix of free-spirited 1980's fuelled blackened Heavy Metal executed in Darkthrone's trademark raw and organic style, Arctic Thunder was recorded and produced by the band, with the sessions conducted at Darkthrone's old rehearsal unit, The Bomb Shelter.
With themes based around hate, contempt, and the inner mind and soul, Arctic Thunder retains a grim atmosphere throughout the album's 8 tracks.
