"Bad Trip Exorcism", released in spring 2019, is the debut album of the German one-man band Crypt Witch. The creator of this idea - Eugen Kohl - is already known for his talent and versatility. His current projects include: Donarhall, Sinister Downfall, Death Carrier, Hexengrab, Nihilisticon, Urschmerz, Dark Fields and others.
This time Eugen showed his passion for stoner doom by creating instrumental and characteristic stoner compositions interwoven with heavy, fuzzy riffs, hypnotic motifs and melodic passages. Eugen completely avoids singing and gives each listener the opportunity to dive into the world of magic and perform their own "Bad Trip Exorcism".

(double-exclamation points included), emerged as a spontaneous outburst upon hearing the record in studio playback. It’s about as apt a title as I could come up with, and though the band seem to be perpetually following the riffs of guitarist/vocalist Gabriele Fiori, they have undertaken some creative growth since their 2008 debut. The sound once again has this mellow and psychedelic attitude, with pinches of space rock and a matrix of desert sound, but you can also hear some progressive passages, and old school hard rock riffing here and there.

Easterfaust was the first momentous improvisation from this session to be released and captures the band in a moment of sheer, vibrant exuberance feeling their way through 42 minutes of visceral augmented repetition which metamorphs from the distant echo of space rock to an all-encompassing climactic synchronicity of sound.
