Wiegedood - De Doden Hebben het Goed I - CD-Digi

€12.99

De Doden Hebben het Goed is Wiegedood’s debut album, but we can hardly call this a debuting band. The band members have already proven their worth in other acts like Amenra, Oathbreaker, Hessian, Rise and Fall… This is surely an interesting gathering of musicians that immediately raises high expectations. And they deliver. Big time. Against all expectations, the result of this collaboration has nothing to do with post metal, sludge or hardcore. In stead, Wiegedood treats us to a relentless onslaught of atmospheric black metal. The title De Doden Hebben het Goed covers the album perfectly: it’s a very bleak take on extreme metal music, but never loses touch with the band members’ other projects.

DUEL is heavy psychedelic stoner doom metal from Austin, Texas. Hugely influenced by the darker sounds of early 70’s Proto-metal. Features two ex Scorpion Child (Nuclear Blast) members. So the choice of bands covered on this monsterpiece ranges from the corrosive D-beat explosions of RawPunk maniacs like The SHITLICKERS, EU’S ARSE, ANTI CIMEX, KAAOS, CHAOTIC DISCHORD to some angry HC inferno when they revisit classics by BLACK FLAG, CIRCLE JERKS, POISON IDEA, MINOR THREAT, INFERNO and so on!

Old Man Gloom ‎– Seminar VIII: Light Of Meaning - LP

The new OLD MAN GLOOM album "Light Of Meaning" (aka Seminar VIII) sees the notorious experimental super-group forge on their legacy after a slight suspension in uncertainty following the passing of bassist/vocalist Caleb Scofield. It was decided that the remaining members Aaron Turner (Sumac/Isis), Nate Newton (Converge), and drummer Santos Montano would continue to forge on with OLD MAN GLOOM and would bring in Scofield's former Cave In bandmate, Stephen Brodsky, to take Caleb's place amongst the pulse.
Through monolithic sonic tapestries sewn throughout, "Light Of Meaning" blossoms as a moving tribute to Scofield where the band have even incorporated material that Scofield had laid down previously for new OMG music.

WINTER ETERNAL – Land Of Darkness - CD

WINTER ETERNAL rampage through the Land of Darkness on their third album.
Thrillingly chilling yet breathtakingly emotional, Land of Darkness absolutely bristles with an ancient-days mysticism and melodicism that bring black metal's majestic past into the present.
However, again like its full-length predecessor but more so here, WINTER ETERNAL poignantly taps into that wellspring of creation the aforementioned legends did and feeds his own lifeforce into it, flexing fluid chops along the way and returns with a nine-song/40-minute document of dreams both dark and beautiful.

WINTER ETERNAL have at last arrived, and beckon you to venture across their Land of Darkness!

Gandhi's Gunn ‎– The Longer The Beard The Harder The Sound - LP

Gandhi's Gunn (now Isaak) sophomore album The Longer The Beard, The Harder The Sound, clearly revealed a band ready to transcending their core influences and explore more visionary and psychedelic territories.

We’re talking: churning riffs, elephantine grooves and raging growls, seasoned to perfection with lysergic flights, epic jams and even mesmerizing quieter passages, before being served al dente for consumption by our most discerning stoner rock patrons.

Original version on Black Vinyl. The album got later repressed by US label Small Stone Recordings with the band's new name: ISAAK!
