Stoned Jesus emerged as Igor's Krobak side-project, dealing with the heavier and darker side of rock-music. Beginning with sludge and post-metal blueprints, it shaped into a full-time band, becoming musically closer to stoner rock and traditional doom metal in vein of early Black Sabbath, later days Electric Wizard and classic Sleep. SJ's second demo, “Occult/Black Woods”, contains two fuzzy sabbathian epics filled with catchy riffs, Hendrix-like guitar solos and professional vocals. After releasing their début "First Communion" record and playing dozens of gigs in Ukraine and Russia, the band went through line-up change and released a new EP entitled "Stormy Monday" on April 7th 2011.

It's been five years since Washington D.C based fuzz rockers, Borracho, released their last studio record, Atacama - a record that was hailed as "one of 2016's finest in heavy rock and roll" by unofficial voice of the underground, The Obelisk.

Borracho further refine their sound with Pound of Flesh. Everything you loved from the bands Spitting the Sky/Oculus days, through to their more recent success with 2016's Atacama, is still very much present - but there is a certain sense of confidence and/or purpose to the sound and production that grabs the listener by the neck and says "Listen up". "Violentopia" brings forth 13 tracks of blistering brutal death metal mixed with elements of grindcore, slam and old school heaviness. This is the band's first major release from founding guitarist Jaleel Castillo along with completely new line-up consisting of drummer Matt Johnson, bassist/vocalist Karl Schmidt, guitarist Ray Nevison, and vocalist Matti “Niño” Guey. The album also features guest performances from members of PIG DESTROYER, CEPHALIC CARNAGE, ISOLATION IN INFAMY and more. "Violentopia" was mixed by Rob Caldwell (CANNIBAL CORPSE, MUNICIPAL WASTE, DEVOURMENT) and mastered by Davide Billia at MK2 Recording Studio.
