Arizona newcomers GATECREEPER deliver 9 monstrous songs of low-end, old-school death metal on their savage debut album Sonoran Depravation. Having devastated the underground since their formation less than three years ago, GATECREEPER now unleash their first full-length, produced by Ryan Bram at Homewrecker Studios and mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge, Nails, Black Breath) at GodCity Studios. Sonoran Depravation tears and chugs through 30+ minutes of crusty, doom-soaked death metal at its most infectious and uncompromising with a massive sound that calls to mind the classic Swedish buzz-saw attack of Dismember and Grave mixed with the impeccable groove of Obituary and Bolt Thrower.
The legendary Abscess hail from Oakland California and started life in 1994 with their very own brand of Sickodelia.
Chris Reifert and Danny Coralles were both previously in late 80s/early 90s top gore metal band Autopsy, and Chris started his career with the highly influential extreme metal band Death.
Including special guest vocal appearances by the Darkthrone duo, this is twisted, dirty punk death without limits!
Cover artwork comes from top US artist Dennis Dread (Darkthrone, Autopsy), with booklet art courtesy of Chris Reifert himself. 'Dawn of Inhumanity' also marks the final release of Darkthrone's Tyrant Syndicate Productions, a sub-label of Peaceville Records.
In 2009, Amenra released the beautiful and fragile EP Afterlife, meant as a musical testament for future generations. The acoustic tracks that made up this EP showed a very different aspect of the band, but also proved that in any incarnation Amenra connects on a deeply emotional level with its audience. The acoustic album kept on lingering in the background, and it was only a matter of time for the band to revisit the acoustic approach of the EP. In 2014 Amenra again showed their most vulnerable side on different stages. This album collects live recordings of old and new acoustic renditions of Amenra tracks, but it also harbors the collaboration with Belgian poet Sofie Verdoodt and two bone chilling covers.
One of the most important Psych - Acid Rock albums of the new millenium. The Dzjenghis Khan self-titled debut album was released in 2007 by the Dutch indipendent label Motorwolf. The San Francisco based band Dzjenghis Khan featured bassist Carson Binks (also in Wild Eyes and Saviours), drummer Tommy Tomson and guitarist Lane Rider. This record reflects the musical scene of that era and it's still a raw acid rock pearl! Heavy Psych Sounds Records is so proud to bring back to the current audience a piece of real Acid Rock. Dzjenghis Khan was one of the first bands to bring back the “psych sound”, in a time where there was not real audience, we can say they've been pioneers after the pioneers!
Project with members of Morkobot.
Only those who know the ease of a cow while defecating can understand the genesis of the songs of Zolle.
Children of a natural path, direct, compact, subject to the force of gravity.
Impact safe with warm soul that does not end in the fall to the ground.
DEATH, the heavy metal institution founded, realized, and helmed by legendary guitarist Chuck Schuldiner, released its final studio album The Sound of Perseverance ('98) to massive worldwide critical acclaim.
The Sound of Perseverance is the masterstroke of one of metal's true pioneers and innovators, and indeed worthy of the worship, adoration, and accolades that announced its original release ('98).
Now remastered, repackaged and featuring over an hour of newly unearthed and previously unreleased material (extra tracks and early demos), this is the definitive edition of this timeless classic.
