Darkthrone ‎– Too Old Too Cold - LP

€17.99

The Too Old Too Cold EP had its original release at the dawn of 2006 and acted as a precursor to the band's triumphant Peaceville comeback album, the revelatory black and roll release, The Cult is Alive.
As a showcase for this sleek new incarnation of Darkthrone, and with the band firmly back in control of their sound courtesy of their new Necrohell 2 Studio set-up, Too Old Too Cold showed that the band was here to stay, and lead the way.

Commenting back then, Fenriz defined the shift in style as "probably something like MOTORHEAD meeting HELLHAMMER on a CRUST PUNK/NECROTHRASH gig in '85".

Darkthrone Holy Darkthrone - Eight Norwegian Bands Paying Tribute - CD

On the aptly named 'Darkthrone Holy Darkthrone', eight Norwegian Black Metal legends pay tribute to the inspirational band that helped define the genre and pave the way for decades of destruction to come.
Originally released in 1998, the album was in honour of Darkthrone's first 10 years of existence.

The album mainly focuses on Darkthrone’s earliest works, from the blasting opener from the ‘A Blaze in the Northern Sky’ album - courtesy of Satyricon - via the experimental rendition of ‘The Pagan Winter’ from Thorns.
Closing with Immortal’s ‘To Walk the Infernal Fields’, this is a faithful and passionate tribute to an essential band given an individual touch from each act involved.

Darkthrone ‎– Arctic Thunder - CD

Norwegian duo, Darkthrone, return with their first new studio material since 2013's triumphant The Underground Resistance.
Fenriz and Nocturno Culto once more show their mastery of 'the riff', demonstrating why Darkthrone remain one of the most respected and enduring acts in the history of extreme Metal.
An eclectic mix of free-spirited 1980's fuelled blackened Heavy Metal executed in Darkthrone's trademark raw and organic style, Arctic Thunder was recorded and produced by the band, with the sessions conducted at Darkthrone's old rehearsal unit, The Bomb Shelter.
With themes based around hate, contempt, and the inner mind and soul, Arctic Thunder retains a grim atmosphere throughout the album's 8 tracks.

Darkthrone ‎– Sempiternal Past (The Darkthrone Demos) - CD

Darkthrone began in the late 80's as a thrash/death metal act and progressed through technical death/doom metal experimentation to become hugely respected and influential legends of the black metal world, and one of the original leading forces of the Norwegian scene, alongside other legendary acts such as Mayhem and Burzum.
'Sempiternal Past' contains all 4 of Darkthrone's cult demo releases recorded between 1988-1989 ('Land of Frost', 'A New Dimension', 'Thulcandra', & 'Cromlech') and shows the remarkable development of the band in its early years.
Each demo has now been fully restored and re-mastered from the best tape sources available, specifically for this release.
The cd booklet features liner notes, lyrics and rare photos of the band in their early years.

Darkthrone ‎– The Cult Is Alive - LP

After their early foray into the world consciousness with SOULSIDE JOURNEY they delivered the unholy trinity of A BLAZE IN THE NORTHERN SKY, UNDER A FUNERAL MOON and TRANSILVANIAN HUNGER.
Censorship and heavy handed political correctness forced the band from Peaceville and they made a succession of albums for the fledgling Moonfog label.
Something was always missing from this equation though, and soon the band members yearned to go home and made it clear.
However, time heals all wounds, and as soon as the band became free they planned their return to the forefront of the Metal existence with Peaceville.
THE CULT IS ALIVE is the fetid, rotting, rocking first fruits of Darkthrone's second coming at Peaceville.

Dead Witches ‎– The Final Exorcism - CD Digi

Dead Witches roar back from the studio on two wheels, Chuckalumba, where the fabled sessions for Dopethrone and Let Us Prey by Electric Wizard were recorded and Dead Witches debut Ouija. Sessions began on the full moon 25th August in the heart of the New Forest deep in Dorset, the hallowed home of 90's doom legends and Electric Wizard folklore, marking Mark’s fourth time in both bands at Chuckalumba. A banshee wail of woeful siren song weaving a sinister world of horror doom, through waves of burgeoning fuzz and hell sent thunder on the drum kit. Realising the magnitude of what they had committed to tape, Dead Witches began to seek Doug Shearer, wizard of mastering and the final member in the coven. His previous also including Dopethrone and Let Us Prey.

Dzjenghis Khan ‎– Dzjenghis Khan - LP

One of the most important Psych - Acid Rock albums of the new millenium. The Dzjenghis Khan self-titled debut album was released in 2007 by the Dutch indipendent label Motorwolf. The San Francisco based band Dzjenghis Khan featured bassist Carson Binks (also in Wild Eyes and Saviours), drummer Tommy Tomson and guitarist Lane Rider. This record reflects the musical scene of that era and it's still a raw acid rock pearl! Heavy Psych Sounds Records is so proud to bring back to the current audience a piece of real Acid Rock. Dzjenghis Khan was one of the first bands to bring back the “psych sound”, in a time where there was not real audience, we can say they've been pioneers after the pioneers!

Darkthrone ‎– F.O.A.D. - CD

Writing began on 'FOAD' straight after the completion of last year's acclaimed 'The Cult is Alive'.
Recorded, mixed & all self-produced once again at the band's own Necrohell 2 studios throughout the first half of 2007, this labour of love (or is it hate') travels deep into the open seas of a rich musical heritage; a celebration of rock and metal; moving further from the pure primitive black metal they were once known for, but still embracing the roots of what made this tree grow so far and wide.
Yet still, Darkthrone only exist according to their OWN rules. Summarised perfectly by Fenriz, FOAD 'SOUNDS LIKE A WAR BETWEEN ATLANTIS AND THE REST OF PLANET!'.

Oreyeon - Ode To Oblivion - CD-Digi

Release date: MArch 15, 2019

OREYEON'S new album ODE TO OBLIVION comes after two years of experimental sessions in their little studio recording nastled between the sea and the mountains in the north west of italy. This new full lenght crosses transversely all member's musical influences and takes shape leaving behind and definitely going beyond the rules that mostly describe the classical stonerrock genre. Just from the first track, a strong sense of nothingness blends into a long unsettling travel through a microcosm full of colours while black shapes lead the traveller into a spiral of nihilistic lyrics, title tracks and monolithic riffs all at the same time .

Nebula ‎– Holy Shit - CD-Digi

22 years after their first release and 10 years after their last album, Nebula are back.

And you’re thinking “Holy shit!” right now, you pretty much nailed it. Holy Shit is Nebula’s first LP since 2009’s Heavy Psych, and it quickly puts to rest the question that’s loomed since guitarist/vocalist Eddie Glass, bassist Tom Davies and drummer Michael Amster announced the band’s reformation in 2017.

Nebula are still Nebula.
