On 'Revenant' HUMAN CULL push their already frantic crust-tinged blast-heavy grind of the last release into overdrive, featuring a huge production from Will Blackmon (Gadget, The Arson Project) and furious instrumental performances running in the style of 'FETO' era Napalm Death or 'Human 2.0' Nasum.

The band display clear death metal and crust influences here, and this is certainly the closest to death metal their sound has come. Strong tones from the likes of Unleashed, the ever present Swedeath classics like Entombed and Obituary are found rubbing shoulders with the angular notes of Discordance Axis and Doom, flowing together in one gribbly monstrosity of a release.

This album is the most polished example of contemporary grind from these veterans of the UK scene.

Arising from the cold depths of the Basque Seas emerges KEZIAH; an omnipotent creature with sludge coursing through its veins.

This unrelenting beast channels the swaying, down-tuned riffs and hypnotic, swirling drumming patterns synonymous with the tormented aspects of sludge/post-metal with their latest, aptly titled, release 'The Unknown'.

In just under 40 minutes, images of the world being swallowed in cold, empty oceans will play out as the soundtrack perpetrates your consciousness with molasses-thick progressions and harrowing vocal delivery that'll shake the most sturdy of souls. Nods to Mouth Of The Architect and Cult Of Luna are present whilst retaining originality.

The FORMALIST unit was founded in 2014 when long-time associated individuals from the Italian heavyweights FORGOTTEN TOMB [vocals], MALASANGRE [bass & drums] and VISCERA/// [guitars] joined forces with the aim to open new gates to total sonic horrors. Excelling in the art of low-tuned sickness, the band members managed to forge together their many influences and proceeded to write and record the first full-length album during summer 2016, featuring 3 songs for a nightmarish 40 minutes length where extreme Doom, Black Metal, Sludge and Ambient/Drone combined with a completely hostile, nihilistic approach to vocals and lyrics. This is "No One Will Shine Anymore".
