Hellbastard – Heading For Internal Darkness - CD
HELLBASTARD’s milestone debut album “Heading For Internal Darkness” (1988) is finally available again 32 years after its original release date. The material was released on vinyl back in 1988 followed by CD version two years later. The 9-song release brings forth classic metallic crust/thrash/punk from Great Britain that is an absolute must have for fans of AMEBIX, ANTISECT, DISCHARGE, SACRILEGE, SLAYER and the likes.
The CD is released in standard jewel case with slipcase and extensive 24-page booklet including the band’s biography and history written by Scruff himself, liner notes by Woz, lyrics, and tons of gig and tour posters as well as never seen before picture from the band’s archives!
On top of that there is 6 bonus songs not included on the original version!
Mondo Generator – Cocaine Rodeo - CD-Digi
Prior to the formation of Queens of the Stone Age, bassist/singer Nick Oliveri recorded some originals with ex-Kyuss bandmates Josh Homme (guitar) and Brant Bjork (drums), plus Karma to Burn's Rob (drums) and others.
But once recording was completed, Oliveri decided to shelve the tapes; it wasn't until several years later (well after Queens of the Stone Age began to establish themselves) that the bassist decided to release the songs on a friend's indie label, Southern Lord Records.
Going by the name Mondo Generator, 11 tracks were compiled for the 2000 release Cocaine Rodeo.
The majority of the songs are much more raw and hardcore/punk-based than Oliveri's output with QOTSA, as evidenced by such tracks as "Shawnette," "Uncle Tommy," "Unless I Can Kill," and "I Want You to Die."
Hibagọn – Polyposmic - LP
Heavy polyrhythmic duo from Bergamo (Italy) that channels the energy of the straightforward guitar & drums formula into irregular textures, bringing it back to the listener in geometric and distorted frames.
Nebula - Charged - CD-Digi
Heavy Psych Sounds will re-issue NEBULA's legendary 'Charged' album, originally released back in 2001 on Sub Pop Records, in a new RE-MASTERED version. The record has been remastered by Matt Lynch! 'Charged' has been the second full-length album by the stoner rock legends, it's also the last album featuring former Fu Manchu bandmate, Mark Abshire, on bass and before the original band lineup re-united in 2018.
Charged' is still considered as one of NEBULA's most important and distinctive records to date. A heavy fuzz rock trip into the desert, a wheel of hot lava, and the sheer power of almighty riffs only an act like NEBULA could have ever created!
Nebula - To The Center - CD-Digi
Nebula's first non-EP, full-length release, To the Center is another retro-psychedelic heavy rock platter, long on stripped-down riff muscle and surprisingly technically adept guitar jams. The results sometimes meander, which probably isn't of much consequence if this brand of metal is your bag, since this is what you'd expect in this perception-expanding context. What matters more than tightly structured songs are riffs and atmosphere, and both of those are present in abundance.
Black Rainbows – Hawkdope - CD Digi
The fourth full length of this incredible band. With dirt-caked fuzz tone, they continue to proliferate the catchy hooks and stoner vibes, Hawkdope is their masterpiece, 9 songs full of wall of fuzz to destroy your ears. Black Rainbows stewed up their best blend of driving riffs and Nebula-style heavy psychedelia on Hawkdope - is a perfect mix of Hawkwind/Monster Magnet/Fu Manchu! Three coloured versions limited in violet, ultra limited in splatter and regular in golden viyl, plus cd version
Black Rainbows – Supermothafuzzalicious!! - CD Digi
It’s easy to imagine the mouthful title of riff-rocking Roman trio Black Rainbows third album, Supermothafuzzalicious!! (double-exclamation points included), emerged as a spontaneous outburst upon hearing the record in studio playback. It’s about as apt a title as I could come up with, and though the band seem to be perpetually following the riffs of guitarist/vocalist Gabriele Fiori, they have undertaken some creative growth since their 2008 debut.
