Evil Angel – Unholy Evil Metal - CD
Formed during the dark days of 1998 in Lahti, Finland, EVIL ANGEL finally burst upon the international metal underground in 2002 with the Dark Forces of Hell demo. For the next number of years, the band would continue to perfect its outbreak-of-evil style of blackthrashing metal across more demos, splits, and the aptly titled Metal Onslaught EP. That last-named record was crucial in pointing the direction forward for EVIL ANGEL: each new recording brought them down into deeper depths of primitivism whilst underlining their connection to the unyielding strength of true METAL.
The Hazytones – The Hazytones - CD
The Hazytones, a three piece band from Montreal have, since their 2015 inception, been kicking some serious ass around the live circuits of their Canadian home turf. The Hazytones jam a groove of hard and stoner rock blended with touches of bluesy psych that has a distinct but not overpowering retro feel, a feel perfect for an underground scene dominated by bands looking backwards towards the hard rock of the 70's.
"The Hazytones" is an album that could as easily find its way onto the playlist of an avid 70's hard rock collector as it could that of the most discerning stoner/psych/doom fan.

Floor – Oblation - CD-Digi
FLOOR are back with ‘Oblation’. Adding a dose of doom and a dash of drone, this new opus perfectly encapsulates FLOOR’s trademark desert rock feeling of shimmering heat, the pound and stomp of heavy engines, and a burning taste of diesel in the air. CONVERGE guitarist Kurt Ballou mixed the album at GodCity Studios (TORCHE, KVELERTAK, HIGH ON FIRE) and the mastering was done by Alan Douches (BARONESS, BLACK TUSK, MOTÖRHEAD). Lean back, crank up and sacrifice to the gods of stoner rock with this mighty ‘Oblation’.
Mörk Gryning – Live At Kraken - CD
Mörk Gryning reunited with their original line-up from the era of "Maelstrom Chaos", summoning an evening to remember in Stockholm in 2017.
Performing only two gigs (in Stockholm and at Party-San open air) with a playlist containing all the tracks from their classic black metal release "Tusen år har gått", including some carefully picked tracks from the back catalog.
In front of an overwhelmed crowd and a sold-out show, Mörk Gryning probably did their last and best appearance ever.

Violet Cold – kOsmik - CD-Digi
Violet Cold is one-man studio project from Azerbaijan started by Emin Guliyev in 2013.
kOsmik draws influence from so many different genres, starting off with pure post-rock in the vein of Lights Out Asia and other US references, slowly guitars become sharper and sharper, blackgaze and post-black metal kick in, and kOsmik takes off and simply leaves this planet. The succession between genres is natural and smooth, and the final track, a rearrangement of Bach's Air from the orchestral suite no. 3 in D major BWV 1068, feels a weird yet perfect conclusion to the Azeri's journey.
Avantgarde Music is pleased to release the physical edition of kOsmik, which was originally published digitally earlier this year.
