Darkthrone Holy Darkthrone - Eight Norwegian Bands Paying Tribute - CD

On the aptly named 'Darkthrone Holy Darkthrone', eight Norwegian Black Metal legends pay tribute to the inspirational band that helped define the genre and pave the way for decades of destruction to come.
Originally released in 1998, the album was in honour of Darkthrone's first 10 years of existence.

The album mainly focuses on Darkthrone’s earliest works, from the blasting opener from the ‘A Blaze in the Northern Sky’ album - courtesy of Satyricon - via the experimental rendition of ‘The Pagan Winter’ from Thorns.
Closing with Immortal’s ‘To Walk the Infernal Fields’, this is a faithful and passionate tribute to an essential band given an individual touch from each act involved.

Requiem – Global Resistance Rising - LP

7 years of a so called release-break they used for themselves to present their most brutal material to date. The 10 brand new songs were recorded, mixed and mastered at IGUANA Studios under the direction of Christoph Brandes. REQUIEM are back, in best shape and stronger than ever before, full of energy and with a monster of album in their luggage !!

Mondo Generator ‎– Cocaine Rodeo - CD-Digi

Prior to the formation of Queens of the Stone Age, bassist/singer Nick Oliveri recorded some originals with ex-Kyuss bandmates Josh Homme (guitar) and Brant Bjork (drums), plus Karma to Burn's Rob (drums) and others.
But once recording was completed, Oliveri decided to shelve the tapes; it wasn't until several years later (well after Queens of the Stone Age began to establish themselves) that the bassist decided to release the songs on a friend's indie label, Southern Lord Records.
Going by the name Mondo Generator, 11 tracks were compiled for the 2000 release Cocaine Rodeo.

The majority of the songs are much more raw and hardcore/punk-based than Oliveri's output with QOTSA, as evidenced by such tracks as "Shawnette," "Uncle Tommy," "Unless I Can Kill," and "I Want You to Die."

Crypt Trip ‎– Haze County - CD Digi

Crypt Trip returns! Following their last album “Rootstock” the Texas rockers are delivering more Cosmic American sounds straight to your ears, mind, and soul. Their new album, “Haze County”, sonically and lyrically explores the complexities of space and time and then brings you back down to the very Earth you’re made of.

Big Scenic Nowhere ‎– Vision Beyond Horizon - LP

"This album is a collaborative effort and the sum of its parts. The basic riffs and song structures were done by myself and Gary Arce, but the contributions from Tony Reed, Lisa Alley, Ian Graham, Mario Lalli, Nick Oliveri, Bill Stinson, Per Wiberg and Alain Johannes make this record what it is.
There was never a discussion of what kind of music we wanted to make.
But if I had to describe it there are elements of Soundgarden, Pink Floyd, Yawning Man and Fu Manchu."

Funeralium – Of Throes and Blight - 2CD

3rd album of French extreme doom/death. Their previous album "Deceived Idealism" was double CD album, which contained 6 songs.
This album is also double CD, which contains 4 doomed hymns over 90 minutes! Extremely slow suffocating rhythm accompanied by crushing doomed low freqency. Hypnotic minimalistic riffs with eerie harmonies.
Deep growling and hysteric screams. They are still walking on the same doomed path of "Deceived Idealism". They are walking into much darker and bleaker realm of extreme doom/death!

Repent – Condemned To Fail - CD

If you had to name one German band among the first of the second wave of thrash in the wake of the 1980s pioneers, it would be Repent. Forming in 1992 when this type of metal was not a trend anymore meant that you had to be totally convinced by what you wanted to do, sticking to it without compromise regardless of ephemeral fads.

"Condemned To Fail" is Repent's 4th album, released in 2019 by High Roller Records.

Armory ‎– World Peace ... Cosmic War - CD

The reservoir of new Swedish Metal bands seems to be just endless. Hot on the trails of High Roller recording artists Ambush, Air Raid, Lethal Steel, and so many others, there is Armory, a speed metal outfit from the lovely city of Gothenburg. Originally formed in the late summer of 2012 (out of the ashes of a band called Resurrector), Armory recorded their first demo "Open Fire" in December 2012, followed by "S.M.I." (short for “Speed Metal Island”, referring to the island Hisingen in Gothenburg, where the band is located).

"World Peace … Cosmic War" is the name of Armory's debut album on High Roller Records.
