Darkthrone Holy Darkthrone - Eight Norwegian Bands Paying Tribute - CD

On the aptly named 'Darkthrone Holy Darkthrone', eight Norwegian Black Metal legends pay tribute to the inspirational band that helped define the genre and pave the way for decades of destruction to come.
Originally released in 1998, the album was in honour of Darkthrone's first 10 years of existence.

The album mainly focuses on Darkthrone’s earliest works, from the blasting opener from the ‘A Blaze in the Northern Sky’ album - courtesy of Satyricon - via the experimental rendition of ‘The Pagan Winter’ from Thorns.
Closing with Immortal’s ‘To Walk the Infernal Fields’, this is a faithful and passionate tribute to an essential band given an individual touch from each act involved.

Klimt 1918 – Just In Case We'll Never Meet Again (Soundtrack For The Cassette Generation)- CD

Three years after their successful album "Dopoguerra," Italy's probably most thriving band at the intersection of indie, post rock, and new wave, Klimt 1918, have finished recording their third album.
This work with the picturesque title "Just In Case We'll Never Meet Again (Soundtrack For The Cassette Generation)" once more contains epic and excellently produced songs brought to life by an amazing passion and energy, characterised by a mood of bittersweet nostalgia, yearning, and uplifting euphoria.

On "Just In Case ...", Klimt 1918 combine the best moments of My Bloody Valentine, The Cure, and U2 with those of modern rock icons such as Dredg, Interpol, Anathema, and Katatonia to create a unique experience of boundless musicality.

Mondo Generator ‎– Cocaine Rodeo - CD-Digi

Prior to the formation of Queens of the Stone Age, bassist/singer Nick Oliveri recorded some originals with ex-Kyuss bandmates Josh Homme (guitar) and Brant Bjork (drums), plus Karma to Burn's Rob (drums) and others.
But once recording was completed, Oliveri decided to shelve the tapes; it wasn't until several years later (well after Queens of the Stone Age began to establish themselves) that the bassist decided to release the songs on a friend's indie label, Southern Lord Records.
Going by the name Mondo Generator, 11 tracks were compiled for the 2000 release Cocaine Rodeo.

The majority of the songs are much more raw and hardcore/punk-based than Oliveri's output with QOTSA, as evidenced by such tracks as "Shawnette," "Uncle Tommy," "Unless I Can Kill," and "I Want You to Die."

Pissgrave ‎– Posthumous Humiliation - CD

Philadelphia's PISSGRAVE, one of the rawest, most depraved, immoral, and violent bands in present-day death metal follow up their 2015 "Suicidal Euphoria" debut LP with their new sophomore LP "Posthumous Humiliation", an album even more dark, surreal, violent, and perverted than its infamous predecessor.
"Posthumous Humiliation" will cement PISSGRAVE's reign in America's underground death metal scene as not only one of the most sadistic death metal bands today but also one of the most singular bands in the genre.
"Posthumous Humiliation" ultimately is a disturbing and intense listen, a sonnic skullfucking devoid of amusement and pleasure and a celebration of pure torment and misery.

Invictus ‎– The Catacombs Of Fear - CD

Furious flesh ripping Death Metal from the land of rotting sun, Japan. INVICTUS is a fresh and young band from the moloch of Nagano-City.
The 3 piece band presents their first full length album named "The Catacombs of Fear".
Previous releases are a split CD with Fecundation and a 2-Song MCD "At The Gate of Crypts". Responsible for the great artwork is nobody less than the Spanish artist Juanjo Castellano.

Zaum - Eidolon - LP

Based in New Brunswick, Canada - ZAUM is a dark passage into the unspoken realization of the old world; a monolithic doomy mantra-based meditative experience forged by bass and drums interwoven with sitar, woodwind, string and synth textures resulting in a tranquil resonance whereby the astral and physical planes can co-exist and be understood from a natural perspective. Chapter II in the existence of ZAUM - "Eidolon", is an illuminated revelation of the ancient past with furthered lush and organic soundscapes as its vibrant artwork depicts. While concurrent with respect to the time period, Eidolon summons the mind into a lost world afar from the Middle Eastern deserts of debut album "Oracles".
