“Rose of Jericho” combines a lyrical depth that resonates the current (political) rabbitholes with dark, groovy, warm riffs supporting rugged vocals. Me and My Kites is a Swedish hippie pop group, heavily influenced by the flourishing psychedelic movement of the sixties, with a touch of folk music. It’s a bit of a collective, with a solid core of eight people that has been the live band in the last years. Since the start in 2012 they’ve released two albums, this being the third one. Natt o Dag takes you on an adventure a bit darker than the earlier Me and My Kites’ records.
It's been five years since Washington D.C based fuzz rockers, Borracho, released their last studio record, Atacama - a record that was hailed as "one of 2016's finest in heavy rock and roll" by unofficial voice of the underground, The Obelisk.
Borracho further refine their sound with Pound of Flesh. Everything you loved from the bands Spitting the Sky/Oculus days, through to their more recent success with 2016's Atacama, is still very much present - but there is a certain sense of confidence and/or purpose to the sound and production that grabs the listener by the neck and says "Listen up". The original and founding members of Swedish/Finnish grindcore band AFGRUND, being Andy, Pat and long-time drummer Panu are back after six years with their fourth full album. ‘Hate Them’ was Darkthrone’s tenth album and was originally released in 2003.
The album was a fine example of masterful primitive black metal riffing along with the integration of other 80’s punk and metal influences from the long-standing duo of Fenriz and Nocturno Culto, all executed in the unmistakable Darkthrone style. The album was recorded at Pan Lydstudio and engineered by Lars Klokkerhaug. The album intro and outro was created by Lrz from fellow Norwegian act Red Harvest.
’Hate Them’ is regarded among the best received albums the band released during their time with then-label, Moonfog Productions.
