Fatso Jetson is an American desert rock band from Palm Desert, California, formed in 1994 by Yawning Man members Mario Lalli and Larry Lalli, along with Tony Tornay ( Solarfeast, Deep Dark Robot). They are often credited as the fathers of the desert strain of stoner rock later made most famous by their slightly younger neighbours Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age. While sometimes musically similar to the heavy riffing rock of their stoner brethren, Fatso Jetson incorporate a broad variety of musical influences that includes jazz, experimental pop, blues, punk and surf.

Methadone Skies new album - Different Layers Of Fear - is perhaps their most engaging and heaviest album to date. Eddie Glass and Ruben Romano (ex Fu Manchu) has put together one of the most sonically aural music obliterations ever put down on tape. Along with Queens of the Stone Age and Eternal Elysium, Nebula were one of the most pleasant surprises in the stoner rock movement. To call them another stoner rock band is an injustice to their versatility and dynamism. Nebula experiments with different types of sounds, including the raga piece "Raga in the Bloodshot Pyramid."
