It’s time to wipe off some dust from this little gem from the Italian Stoner Rock underground, for too long disappeared from the radars.
ZIPPO debut album ‘Ode To Maximum’ was recorded in October 2005, exactly 13 years ago, and came out self-released in early 2006, suddenly received with sheer enthusiasm by the heavy music press unanimously.
This release comes out with a pachydermic new artwork by Davide Mancini / DARTWORKS, re-mastered by Tony Reed (Mos Generator, Stone Axe) and featuring two bonus tracks.
RELEASE DATE 02.11.2018
The album was recorded in Joshua Tree, California, USA, before Christmas 2006. The 8-track album is a mix of old and new tracks. “Some days I just like to sit outside under the sun with my guitar and sing my songs to myself. It relaxes me. It also reminds me of what my songs are about. ...went to Tony's house when I got back to the desert last October...put up a mic and rolled tape. It took 3 days to make this recording...so we naturally called it Tres Dias. Dig it.”
Reissued by Heavy Psych Sounds in 2018.

Formed in Växjö in 1992, Birdflesh is one of the craziest and long lasting grindcore acts around. Their take on grindcore is filled with strong thrashy influences, wacky lyrics and a funny atmosphere overall. Over the years the band released a huge amount of music, consisting in 4 full lenght albums and countless Demos, Splits and EPs, but being so prolific has never been an issue for Birdflesh as their material was, and is, always above the bar.

GOLEM. This legendary and absolutely underrated band started back in 1989. In the 1990s they have released two of the best Death Metal albums ever,
FDA Rekotz is re-releasing both "Eternity - The Weeping Horizons" (1996) and "The 2nd Moon" (1998) as Double LP, Double CD and for Download.
Both albums were remastered by Andreas Hilbert (head of the band) and to top it of Mark Cooper has created new killer artwork.
GOLEM are influenced by bands like CARCASS, DEATH or MORBID ANGEL and are surely on the same musical level. They are still more or less active and the time has come to rise above and beyond, to show their great compositions to a wider audience.

The Hazytones, a three piece band from Montreal have, since their 2015 inception, been kicking some serious ass around the live circuits of their Canadian home turf. The Hazytones jam a groove of hard and stoner rock blended with touches of bluesy psych that has a distinct but not overpowering retro feel, a feel perfect for an underground scene dominated by bands looking backwards towards the hard rock of the 70's.
"The Hazytones" is an album that could as easily find its way onto the playlist of an avid 70's hard rock collector as it could that of the most discerning stoner/psych/doom fan.
For fans of Black Sabbath, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Kadavar, Witchfynde.
