Black Rainbows ‎– Supermothafuzzalicious!! - CD Digi

It’s easy to imagine the mouthful title of riff-rocking Roman trio Black Rainbows third album, Supermothafuzzalicious!! (double-exclamation points included), emerged as a spontaneous outburst upon hearing the record in studio playback. It’s about as apt a title as I could come up with, and though the band seem to be perpetually following the riffs of guitarist/vocalist Gabriele Fiori, they have undertaken some creative growth since their 2008 debut. (The Obelisk)

Assumption ‎– Absconditus - CD

Death Doom explorers Assumption are ready to sink into outer cosmos again! Following their critically acclaimed EP "The Three Appearances" these three new tracks (clocking around 37 minutes) continues developing the psychedelic aura of the Italian band to reach a new level of sonic deviation where visionary Floyd-esque sections are combined with extremely heavy, downtempo riffs.

Ennio Morricone ‎– I Malamondo OST - 2LP

I Malamondo, a strange and offbeat mondo-movie about the youth of the early ‘60s, directed by Paolo Cavara.
This is one of the earliest works of Maestro Morricone, as well as one of his most eccentric and colorful scores ever. Quirky and vivid, this soundtrack spans through many different kinds of music, from classic, bossanova and jazz to latin and exotica, including panoramic orchestral numbers and melodic, romantic themes. Most of the tracks feature the brilliant vocal performances of “I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni” and “I 4+4 di Nora Orlandi”.
Carefully restored and remastered from the original master tapes, this edition includes 7 unreleased pieces (9 for the CD/Digital editions) and two tracks released on vinyl for the first time.

Complete early recordings collection (1994-1997) of New York's undisputed Death Metal legend! Discover the gut slashing roots of these masters of gore and brutality. A special mention goes to their demotape "Swollen heaps", often quoted as one of NYC's most classic and bone crushing demos in the genre, the pinnacle of an era when Brutal Death Metal was still totally straight in the face and not inflated by excess of triggering and utterly artificial productions. Groovy riffs with plenty of chug, crushing breakdowns and technical blasting severity...

Darkthrone ‎– Total Death - CD

'Total Death' was the sixth album from Norwegian black metal legends Darkthrone, and was originally released in 1996.
The song-writing on 'Total Death' was split equally between the 2 members, Fenriz and Nocturno Culto, with Nocturno supplying lyrics to his own songs, whilst Fenriz gave the honour to notable members of the Norwegian metal scene: Garm from Ulver, Ihsahn from Emperor, Carl-Michael Eide from Aura Noir/Ved Buens Ende and Satyr from Satyricon. The album delivers a classic dose of mid and up-tempo black metal, along with thrash, such as on the track 'Blasphemer'.

Majestic Downfall ‎– Waters Of Fate - CD

The new full-length album by Majestic Downfall is, without a doubt, the strongest band's release to date.
Sophisticated compositions, sound and concept: all these elements are perfectly combined to reflect the unique face of the group and its vision of the doom death metal style, which consists in a refined alloy of heaviness, atmosphere and melody.
The music of despair, the music of pain. Too personal and too emotional to live it through every time, and too beautiful to be able to reject every new listening!

Human Cull ‎– Revenant - CD

On 'Revenant' HUMAN CULL push their already frantic crust-tinged blast-heavy grind of the last release into overdrive, featuring a huge production from Will Blackmon (Gadget, The Arson Project) and furious instrumental performances running in the style of 'FETO' era Napalm Death or 'Human 2.0' Nasum.

The band display clear death metal and crust influences here, and this is certainly the closest to death metal their sound has come. Strong tones from the likes of Unleashed, the ever present Swedeath classics like Entombed and Obituary are found rubbing shoulders with the angular notes of Discordance Axis and Doom, flowing together in one gribbly monstrosity of a release.

This album is the most polished example of contemporary grind from these veterans of the UK scene.
